About

My name is Yaser Birjas. I am currently the Imam at Valley Ranch Islamic Center in Dallas Texas and an instructor at AlMaghrib Institute.

I started my career in Electronic Engineering back in 1988 in the UAE, then in Madinah where I  graduated as class valedictorian with the highest honors from The Islamic University of Madinah’s College of Shariah (Islamic Law and Jurisprudence) in 1996. I later on earned my masters degree in adult education and training from the University of Phoenix in the spring of 2013.

Helping people was and still is a passion for me. I have worked on the ground from a very young  age as a relief program aide and humanitarian to rebuild the war-torn Bosnia before migrating to the US. And since coming to the US over two decades ago I served as an Imam and religious leader at El Paso TX and Orland Park, IL before settling as the Imam and religious director for the Valley Ranch Islamic Center in Irving TX.

My academic training in Islamic studies and adult coaching, teaching classes on love, relations and family matters for AlMaghrib Institute for the past twenty years and serving the Muslim community around the country for all these years as a family coach gave me the experience I needed to continue serving others and help them with their marriage, family life and personal development.

For all these years I have been helping individuals and couples from around the world to improve their personal and family lives spiritually and practically. I also train communities around the country on marriage and family matters through various lectures and very practical workshops.

My marriage and family workshops are very popular around the country coming from the twenty plus years experience in family coaching for individuals and families around the world. And looking forward to working with you. Alhamdulillah I am happily married to my wife for over 24 years with 4 wonderful kids.
